Dr. Bob is the proud owner and veterinarian of Coursey Blvd Animal Hospital. He has been serving pet owners and their furry friends in the Baton Rouge area since 1985. As a graduate of the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Bob opened the doors to Coursey Blvd Animal Hospital in 1987. Dr. Bob’s 35 years of experience makes him one of the most skilled veterinarians in the state of Louisiana. There’s no shortage for his passion and deep care for animals.

One summer day in 2019, a baby raccoon who had fallen out of her nest came into Dr. Bob’s care. He lovingly named her Betty and brought her into his home. Comforted and fed, Betty became a part of Dr. Bob's family, learning about the world in her own special way, where every day is a new adventure.

In Hi! My Name is Betty! Dr. Bob recounts the many happy memories he and his family shared with Betty before returning her home to the forest. A playful testament to the responsibility humans have for the critters who live among us, young readers will surely fall in love with Betty themselves and gain a new appreciation for the wonders of the world around them.
